Today, winger Mauro Camoranesi ended his eight-year tenure with Juventus, moving to Stuttgart on a one-year deal.

The 33-year-old Italian international joined Juve in 2002 and stayed with the club through their forced relegation and subsequent promotion. He made 224 league appearances in black and white but looked set for limited playing time after the Old Lady’s summer infusion of talent.

Through the transfer window, Camoranesi had been linked with moves out of Italy, most notably with England’s Birmingham City. Today, the former World Cup winner moves north to Germany, joining a Stuttgart team that’s lost both of it’s matches to open the Bundesliga campaign.
