Report: Lakers Re-Sign Shannon Brown To Two-Year Contract

Shannon Brown has been in and out of the Lakers rotation all throughout his LA tenure, but the Lakers apparently feel he's an important enough piece to retain. According to Chris Tomasson of Fanhouse, the Lakers have re-signed Brown to a two-year contract.

Shannon Brown to sign two-year, $4.6 million deal to return to Lakers, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, tells FanHouse. 2nd year player option.

Brown averaged 8.1 points per game last season, and also provided plenty of highlight dunks. But with Steve Blake now in tow, Brown will likely be relegated to backup shooting guard duties, and with Kobe Bryant in town, there won't be too many minutes to go around.
