Clay Guida Talks UFC 117 Fight With Rafael Dos Anjos

↵

It's an honor to be on what I think is the most stacked card of 2010. Everyone knows how it is when I get in the ring. It's going to be a battle, a war, and it ain't going to be pretty. I bring attention to my fight on my own, with just my enthusiasm and my action. You see my walkout, the introduction with me drooling on myself, burping in the cage and stuff. I bring plenty of excitement in my own way ... Fighting is what I do, and it's who I am. ... I'm rededicated to the sport, and more passionate about it now than ever before.

- Clay Guida talks UFC 117 and his opponent Rafael Dos Anjos

↵

Guida will never be a guy who breaks through into being a title contender but he'll always be a good test for fighters who the UFC is unsure exactly where they stack up. Clay also is well liked by the fans which will lead to him being afforded a little bit more leeway when it comes to bad losing streaks.

Dos Anjos presents a nice fight for Clay and it will be interesting to see if Guida goes right to his wrestling, tries to box or if he maybe looks to work the clinch game. Rafael has great submissions so if Clay falls into his regular routine of wrestling and looking to control from the top he could be playing right into his opponent's hands.
