Carlos Silva Okay Following Cardiac Ablation Procedure

Good news for the Cubs, who have to be relieved about the status of Carlos Silva's heart:

Cubs pitcher Carlos Silva underwent successful cardiac ablation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital Monday morning to prevent his abnormally rapid heartbeat.

The procedure is a minor one, and Silva has already been discharged from the hospital. He will begin a throwing program sometime over the next week as he looks to get back onto the field.
