VIDEO: Turkey Gets Dramatic Game-Winning Lay-Up To Beat Serbia

New, comment

It's strange when a college football game isn't the most exciting and unhinged moment in sports on a Saturday, but Turkey and Serbia played a barn-burner in the FIBA World Championship. The last possession, in particular, is nutty.

In case you don't speak Turkish, that's Hedo Turkoglu finding Kerem Tunceri with a bounce pass for the game-winning lay-up to lift Turkey to the finals of the tournament. It capped a final quarter that was bad for blood pressures in Eastern Europe: The final 30 seconds—Jose has more of it— featured four lead changes. Oh, and it sets up a huge final tomorrow between the United States and Turkey in Istanbul. The NFL might be the next football tradition to have its day disrupted by insane international basketball.
