Mark Ingram, held out from Alabama's first two games thanks to a preseason injury and ensuing surgery, reminded Tide faithful and the viewing public today that he is, in fact, still the legal Prince Regent of Alabama, second only to tiny Emperor Saban and Bear Bryant's ghost in Tuscaloosan affections.↵
It's only against Duke defenses, mind, but it makes for a hell of a stat line: Alabama's No. 1 ran for 152 yards on just nine carres, averaging 16.9 yards per touch, and two scores. His heir apparent, Trent Richardson, was hot on his heels with 61 yards on seven carries and an additional score. And just to pile on, two other backs, Eddie Lacy and Jalston Fowler, added a combined 90 yards.↵
Ingram's reassuring resurgence could not have come at a more opportune time. Alabama's schedule ramps up in a hurry with a road trip to Arkansas, Florida at home, and an away date with South Carolina looming in the immediate future.
