It's nice to see that hanging around Bobby Cox has rubbed off on Chipper Jones. The injured Braves player, who has been on the disabled list with a torn ACL since mid-August, got to jawing about balls and strikes with umpire Doug Eddings—watch it here—and got tossed from the Braves' dugout for his thoughts.
↵It's funny, more than anything, though Jones told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Dave O'Brien that Eddings "has an inconsistent strike zone" and praised pitcher Jair Jurrjens for adapting to it in the Braves' 2-0 win over the Marlins.
↵But the punch line might be what O'Brien just tweeted: for being ejected while on the DL, Jones faces a one-game suspension in 2011. That would be an ignominious, hilarious way to begin what would likely be a last comeback attempt.
