With the 44rd pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions picked Titus Young, a wide receiver from Boise State. Young is quick, and as good a prospect at the slot receiver position as this draft class offered; he should give Matthew Stafford a playmaker and a deep threat.
Young joins first round pick Nick Fairley in Detroit. The Lions have been solidifying their defense under Jim Schwartz, but picking both Fairley and Young shows that Detroit is looking to add talent to a roster that had lacked it for so long.
