The second round of the 2011 NFL Draft was filled with plenty of talent and players that slid out of the first round for one reason or another. As expected, there was a run on quarterbacks early in the round as Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick went back-to-back just a few picks into the round. The New England Patriots also continued their trading ways, shuffling picks around like they were a deck of cards.
One again, it was a round of runs as certain position came off the board in bunches. The defensive lineman infatuation also continued as the depth of the position in the 2011 NFL Draft class showed. Six more were taken in the second round, including Da'Quan Bowers, who slid out of the first round and into the mid-second round due to concerns over his knee.
