No. 17 Syracuse Vs. No. 15 Villanova: Big Monday Offers Chance At Consistency

Two Big East sometimes-powers meet in Philadelphia tonight as the Syracuse Orange travel to play the Villanova Wildcats. They might be the nation's two most inconsistent teams, so no promises, but this should be a spirited game between two rivals with a lot to lose.

Both teams have gone on four consecutive winning or losing streaks of two or more games, with their win-loss columns each looking like the switchboards in a very tiny town.

Nova won the last matchup in the Carrier Dome before a record Cuse crowd, 83-72, on the strength of a big day by Maalik Wayns. Neither team has an easy stretch run to end its regular season, but we should get to learn which of these teams we'll need to take somewhat seriously moving forward.

Or the game could just go to overtime, as the last game played by both Nova and Cuse did.
