2011 Big Ten/ACC Challenge: Duke-Ohio State, UNC-Wisconsin Highlight Matchups

Pairings and a basic schedule for the 2011 Big Ten/ACC Challenge have been announced, pitting potential top-five teams Duke and Ohio State against each other, along with Wisconsin vs. likely No. 1 UNC in the other headlining contest. Really, just about every game on the schedule looks intriguing for one reason or another -- even Wake Forest vs. Nebraska, which pairs a brand-new Big Ten team with a team that did not play ACC basketball last year, that we know of at least.

Miami and Purdue had confusing coaching dramas this offseason, Minnesota and Virginia Tech underachieved last year and could use a reassuring early win, Florida State and Michigan State had very contrasting postseasons, N.C. State will trot out a new coach against a Hoosiers squad expected to be doing the same soon, and so on.

The Big Ten has won two Challenges in a row after having lost the first 10. The complete list of games:

Miami Hurricanes at Purdue Boilermakers
