Toby's Corner, one of the top-four favorites to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby, has been scratched from the field due to a hind leg injury, Reuters reported Tuesday. The 8-to-1 contender winner injured his left hind leg, which hampered his movement and convinced trainer Graham Motion his horse couldn't make the race.
This settles the Kentucky Derby field back down to what it would've been had Toby's Corner not upset Uncle Mo in the 2011 Wood Memorial. He's already been removed from the list of horses on which odds are offered by Bodog.com. The revised odds list moves Archarcharch into the fourth spot at 10-to-1 odds.
