College Football Rankings: Oklahoma Football Tops 2011 Preseason AP Poll

The Oklahoma Sooners were already named the top team in the USA Today Coaches' Poll a few weeks ago, but the hype just got piled on a little bit more. Oklahoma football is also No. 1 in the new AP poll, released Saturday. Oklahoma were always going to be big favorites with quarterback Landry Jones and running back Ryan Broyles returning to the team, but a unanimous No. 1 ranking will surely put a massive target on their backs.

Alabama are the best represented SEC team at No. 2, while last year's national championship runners-up Oregon enter at No. 3. USC rounds out the Top 25, with the Texas Longhorns and Penn State Nittany Lions just barely edged out of the rankings. The SEC are the most well-represented conference in the poll with eight teams. Here's the entire Top 25.
