Saturday's third round game between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Iowa State Cyclones eventually devolved into a run-of-the-mill trouncing, as UK pulled away late in the first half and held on for an 87-71 win in Louisville.
Forward Royce White did his best to keep the Cyclones in the game, however, picking up 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists. The effort was not lost on Wildcats head coach John Calipari, who compared White to a certain bald-headed Hall-of-Famer. A bald-headed Hall-of-Famer who happened to be working the halftime booth during Calipari's game. And is awful at golf. (Okay, it's Charles Barkley).
That is certainly high praise for a 6-8, 270-pound sophomore, though the real winner here, as always, is Calipari due to his ability to charm the pants off of us.
