Luke Kuechly Keeps Impressing At 2012 NFL Combine

One of the breakout stars of the 2012 NFL Combine appears to be Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly. After an impressive three-year college career that saw him break the NCAA record for tackles (532), he has bolstered his stock by turning in a 4.50 40-yard time and a 38-inch vertical leap.

Mocking The Draft already ranked Kuechly as their No. 1 linebacker prospect even before the combine. The big question is where he'll be drafted. The latest SB Nation Mock Draft has him going at No. 11 to the Kansas City Chiefs, explaining it this way:

The Chiefs were close to breaking the top 10 in total defense in 2011, and the addition of Kuechly next to Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson could get them over that hump.

If the Chiefs skip on Kuechly, the next most likely team to take him might be the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 15, as they could really use some help in the middle of their defense.
