Vontaze Burfict Among Bengals Undrafted Free Agents, According To Reports

Vontaze Burfict was known during his years at Arizona State as a relentless player who had trouble containing his play to the moments between the whistles. He'll get his first shot at an NFL career with a team that has long been the butt of jokes because of its players' inability to get all of their kicks on the field, having reportedly signed a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent.

Burfict was a five-star recruit, and appeared to be making good on that promise in his sophomore season with the Sun Devils, making 90 tackles and being named a first-team All-American by the Sporting News. But Burfict's production dropped in his junior season -- he had just 69 total tackles -- and his comportment became his dominant storyline in the run-up to the NFL Draft, leading every team to pass on a player who seemed like a first-round talent at this time last year.

Here's the current list of undrafted free agent signings by the Bengals, via Mocking the Draft:

Ben Bojicic, OL, Bowling Green
Derrius Brooks, CB, Western Kentucky
Vontaze Burfict, LB, Arizona State
Tony Dye, S, UCLA
Tyler Hanson, QB, Colorado
Justin Hilton, WR, Indiana State
Brandon Joiner, DE, Arkansas State
Emmanuel Lamur, DB, Kansas State
Julian Miller, DE, West Virginia
Kashif Moore, WR, Connecticut
Taveon Rogers, WR, New Mexico State
Rodney Stewart, RB, Colorado
Landon Walker, OL, Clemson
