Kevin Boss Will Be Released By Oakland Raiders, According To Report

Last August the Oakland Raiders signed Kevin Boss to a four-year, $16 million contract in free agency. Less than a year later, the Raiders are releasing him. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that new Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie will be releasing Boss sometime before free agency starts on Tuesday afternoon.

The Raiders have salary cap issues and have been forced to part ways with several players in order to comply with the cap. Other players like Stanford Routt have been released and it's possible Kamerion Wimbley will see the same.

In 13 games last season, Boss had 28 receptions for 368 yards and three touchdowns. At 28 years old, he shouldn't have a problem finding another job.
