Super Bowl XLVI takes place on Sunday, February 5 in Indianapolis, when the New England Patriots will square off against the New York Giants. Tickets to the annual event have always been costly and this year is certainly no exception.
According to Darren Rovell of CNBC, tickets to the event are climbing to jaw-dropping prices. The new high for a ticket to Super Bowl XLVI is $16,480, paid on Friday for a seat on the Giants 40-yard line.
Rovell also notes that just in the last 24 hours, the average Super Bowl ticket price has climbed over $112. If you're hoping to attend the event, you're likely to pay an average price of $4,337. Keep in mind that the Super Bowl is still over a week away, so the price is only going to keep skyrocketing.
