The Philadelphia Eagles will be without quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, according to the Eagles. Vick has not played since suffering a concussion in Week 10. McCoy suffered the same fate in Week 11.
Athletic trainer Rick Burkholder informed reporters that both players are in Phase Four of recovery. Vick's concussion is causing him to struggle with reaction times, while McCoy is experiencing symptoms at night. Vick has yet to pass the ImPACT test, according to the Eagles. In his four seasons with the Eagles, Michael Vick has never played in more than 13 games.
McCoy traveled to Pittsburgh to undergo further testing, according to the team.
Nick Foles will start in place of the injured Vick. The rookie is still in search of his first NFL victory. Foles has completed 60.9 percent of his passes, throwing two touchdowns and three interceptions in four games this season.
Bryce Brown is expected to fill in for McCoy for a third straight week. The rookie back sports an impressive 6.5 yards-per-carry average, but has coughed up three fumbles in the last two weeks.
