Tuesday afternoon, Jim Tracy announced that he would deploy a four-man rotation, with each of the four men limited to around 75 pitches in their starts.
↵So far, part of that plan is working. Tuesday night, Josh Outman was removed after throwing 72 pitches. Wednesday night, Alex White was pulled after 75 pitches.
↵The other part -- the part where the starters actually pitch effectively -- isn't going so well. Outman got knocked out in the fifth inning, White in the fourth. Hello, bullpen phone!
