Da'Rick Rogers Not Expected Back By Tennessee, Says Derek Dooley

Tennessee Volunteers head coach Derek Dooley said Thursday that he does not expect suspended wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers to return to the team in 2012. Rogers was suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules on Thursday morning.

Rogers caught 67 passes for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns in 2011, making him Tennessee's most productive wide receiver by a significant margin. That output earned him a first-team All-SEC nod.

In Rogers absence, junior college transfer Cordarrelle Patterson is listed as the starter alongside Justin Hunter on the Volunteers' depth chart. Hunter is coming off a major knee injury that cut his 2011 season short.

Cody Blanc and Zach Rogers round out the updated two-deep at receiver.

The Volunteers open their season against NC State on Aug. 31.
