The seventh day of track and field competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will feature gold medals up for grabs in six events, including the decathlon and 200-meter final.

Ashton Eaton will take center stage in prime time on Thursday night, as the Team USA decathlete holds a commanding lead over fellow American Trey Hardee, who is in second place through five events.

Eaton, the current world-record holder in the event, has been called the greatest U.S. decathlete ever by 1976 decathlon gold medal winner Bruce Jenner. You'd expect that sort of compliment from a gold-medal-winner-turned reality-television-star to generate some added attention for Eaton's gold medal bid.

In the 200m final, Usain Bolt will look to become the first sprinter to win gold in both the 100m and 200m events in back-to-back Olympics. Bolt coasted in his semifinal heat on Wednesday and appears poised to make history.

Times for the televised track and field events are below. All events are available live on NBCOlympics.com:

12:05 a.m.: Men's javelin qualifying (NBC)
