Ryan Kesler fumbled the puck just for a moment in front of his net, and Brenden Morrow made him pay.
Right off the faceoff, midway through the 3rd period, Vancouver's Ryan Kesler had trouble handling the puck directly in front of his own net - and that split second of trouble was all Brenden Morrow needed. The Stars forward stripped the puck away from Kesler and put it past goaltender Cory Schneider. The goal made the score Canucks 4, Stars 3.
Morrow has been with the Dallas Stars since 1999, and has been a reliable offensive threat for most of his time with the team, but this season Morrow has been off to a bit of a slow start. He had three goals and four assists in sixteen games heading into Thursday night's action.
The Dallas Stars entered the night tied for the 8th playoff spot in the Western Conference. Their next game is against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
