Today, the NCAA put a witness on the stand who has openly admitted they're a cartel. This is obviously not a good thing. So rather than fight the exact thing it's being sued for, an NCAA attorney decided to spin being a cartel into being a good thing. This would be like a robber admitting to robbing a house, but claiming they needed money to feed their family, so it's fine. Legally, that's not a great defense, which you don't need a law degree to figure out.
