Kyle Korver out for the playoffs with right ankle injury

The Atlanta sharpshooter left Game 2 and did not return.

Atlanta Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver is done for the rest of the playoffs after injuring his right ankle in Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will undergo further tests.

Korver suffered the injury in the third quarter when Matthew Dellavedova dove for a loose ball and rolled into Korver's leg. Korver immediately went back to the locker room under his own power and did not return in the Hawks' 94-82 loss.

Korver has struggled in the playoffs, averaging 11 points on 39 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from behind the arc. Defenses have honed in on him all playoffs and Korver's open looks have been infrequent, but his defense-bending shooting is still crucial to the way the Hawks operate on offense. Without him, the Hawks will play more Kent Bazemore and Shelvin Mack, neither of which have a shooting touch like Korver's.

Game 3 between the Hawks and Cavaliers is set for Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
