It's the Fourth of July, which means it's finally time for the pinnacle of sporting competition -- the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. It's an annual event, preceded by a circuit of qualifying events, and will feature multiple folks who are really, really good at eating things very fast.

The competition, sanctioned by Major League Eating, will take place on July 4 at Coney Island. The event begins at 10 a.m. ET, with the women's competition set for approximately 11 a.m. and the men's competition to begin closer to 1 p.m. Coverage of the women's competition will be broadcast on ESPN3, with the men's event on ESPN2, beginning at noon. The men are expected to actually get to eating around 12:40 p.m.

Obviously, the man to watch is Joey Chestnut, who is going for his ninth consecutive title on Saturday. He's got the world record of 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes, which is absolutely ridiculous. On the women's side, Miki Sudo is the defending champion after eating 34 hot dogs in 10 minutes last year.

Here's all you need to watch Saturday's competition:
