Floyd Mayweather wishes Ronda Rousey 'nothing but the best'

The war of words in the media might finally be over.

Floyd Mayweather's upcoming pay-per-view bout with Andre Berto is drawing considerably less hype than the boxer's previous fight with Manny Pacquiao. Perhaps that's because, less than a month away from the fight, reporters still seem more concerned about what Mayweather thinks of UFC champ Ronda Rousey.

Mayweather and Rousey have a long history of exachanging words in the press. When asked about at a promotional event for the Berto fight, Mayweather tried to downplay any feud (via Uproxx Sports)

Like I said before, I don't really know too much about Ronda Rousey

Even before, I think they got upset because I thought Ronda Rousey ... you know, I didn't know who that was. So, whoever, whoever ... she is ... because before, I didn't know who she was, you know? I wish her nothing but the best. Good luck with everything.

In this day and age it seems odd to not know who the world's greatest female fighter is but hey, we'll give him one point for trying to clear the air.

Still, after everything that's gone on in the past year, we think Rousey will need more convincing to bury the hatchet just yet.
