Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 Little League World Series is here, with 16 teams full of 11- and 12-year-old kids vying for ballpark supremacy in Williamsport, Penn. There are 32 games scheduled over 11 days to determine a champion.

Format

A total of 16 teams in the Little League World Series, including eight teams from the United States on one side of the bracket and eight international teams on the other side. Each side of the bracket is a double elimination tournament, with the U.S. champion battling the international champion on Aug. 30 for the title of Little League World Series champion.

In addition to double elimination, the first four teams to lose their first two games -- two U.S. teams and two international teams -- will face off in a pair of consolation games on Aug. 24 and 25, with a U.S. team playing an international team in both games.
