Joe Pavelski messed with Jonathan Quick and then ran for his life

If you thought the first night of the 2015-16 NHL season was only lacking a goalie fight then you almost got your wish.

And it’s because Jonathan Quick is secretly a bear.

Some context: San Jose had just scored on Quick in the first period to tie the game. Quick was still trying to figure out if the puck had actually squeezed through his pads at all when Sharks captain Joe Pavelski snuck in and tried to poke the puck into the net for good measure.

Bad idea.
