The Denver Broncos appear to be shifting away from C.J. Anderson, which makes him a very tricky fantasy play going forward.
Anderson has seen his touches go from 24 in Week 1, to 23 in Week 2, to 15 in Week 3, to 20 in Week 4, and then to a season-low 14 in last week’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. In the process, rookie Devontae Booker has seen his touches go up in three straight games, including 10 in Week 5.
This is making Denver’s backfield situation hard to project in fantasy football, but the good news is both backs should produce against the San Diego Chargers this week.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Anderson as the eighth-best running back in Week 6. He is facing a Chargers defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
Keep Anderson in your starting lineup this week. Even with Booker breathing down his neck, Anderson is a must-start vs. San Diego.
