Coming off his best performance of the 2016 season so far, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota will be looking to continue his success in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.
In a win over the Miami Dolphins last Sunday, Mariota threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 60 yards and one touchdown.
Last Sunday’s game against the Dolphins was also the first of the year in which the Tennessee quarterback did not throw an interception.
Fantasy Impact: This week, Mariota gets to face a Browns defense that is coming off a game last weekend where they allowed New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to throw for 406 yards and three touchdowns.
Cleveland is giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2016. No quarterback that the Browns’ defense has faced this season has thrown for fewer than two touchdowns.
Yahoo! projects the Titans’ signal caller to finish Sunday throwing for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. But there is always a chance that Mariota could score another touchdown with his feet, like he did last week.
He should be a good option for fantasy owners looking for a one-time filler for their normal quarterback who has a bye this week or an unfavorable matchup.
