For the first time in 17 regular season games, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd finished without a catch in the team’s game against the San Francisco 49ers last Thursday. For some reason, Floyd has yet to have an impressive performance during a game this year.
Despite having five weeks in 2015 where he gained over 100 receiving yards, the Cardinals pass catcher has yet to have a game this season in which he has finished with over 65 yards.
Fantasy Impact: If any fantasy owners have already released Floyd into their league’s waiver wire, they might want to think about picking him up before Arizona’s game on Monday.
This week, the Cardinals will be facing off against the New York Jets and their very weak pass defense. So far in 2016, the Jets defense is giving up the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
The position group is averaging at least one touchdown and almost 16 yards per catch in each game vs. New York this season.
Yahoo! is projecting Floyd to finish Monday with just three catches for 45 yards. But fantasy owners looking for a spark this week should at least consider starting the receiver in their lineups.
