Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 6: Jamison Crowder faces tough matchup

Washington’s wide receiver may struggle to make plays against a tough Eagles pass defense on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

After a nice start to the 2016 NFL season, Washington wide receiver Jamison Crowder has cooled down a bit in the past couple of weeks.

During his first three games this season, Crowder caught 16 passes and two touchdowns on 25 targets. Over the last two games, the receiver has only five catches and no touchdowns on six targets.

Fantasy Impact: If fantasy owners are hoping for Crowder to find his early-season form again, this week may not be the best opportunity for that to happen. Washington and its wide receiver will be facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles and their tough defense.

Against opposing wide receivers in 2016, the Eagles’ defense is giving up the fifth fewest fantasy points. Last week against the Detroit Lions was the first game in which Philadelphia has given up a touchdown to an opposing receiver in 2016.

Yahoo! projects Crowder to finish the game versus the Eagles with four catches for 43 yards. Nothing convincing enough for any fantasy owners to start the receiver in their lineups this week.
