The Baltimore Ravens are listing Steve Smith Sr. as doubtful to play in Week 6 vs. the New York Giants. Smith suffered an ankle injury in Week 5 that prevented him from practicing this week, so it is no surprise he will likely miss this game.
That is a big loss for Baltimore, as big of a weapon in the passing game Smith was before getting injured. He drew 11 targets in consecutive games in Weeks 3-4. He caught 19 passes for 262 yards and one score in Weeks 2-4.
Fantasy Impact: Smith’s absence would lead to bigger workloads for Mike Wallace, Kamar Aiken, Breshad Perriman, and Dennis Pitta against New York, who is allowing the second-most fantasy points to receivers over the past three games.
The good news is Smith was a low-round fantasy pick before the season, so you should be able to sit him and be fine for one week.
