After only catching seven passes in his first three games this year, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates has 12 receptions in the last two weeks. In Week 5 against the New York Jets, Coates caught six passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
It was a great performance for the receiver who is playing in only his second NFL season. Is last week’s game something that can become expected more often in the future from the young Coates?
Fantasy Impact: For the second straight week, the Steelers get to face a bottom five defense in terms of giving up fantasy points to wide receivers in 2016 when they face off against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. An offense like Pittsburgh’s can hardly contain their salivary glands when thinking about all of the offensive opportunities they could have against the Dolphins’ defense this week.
Yahoo! is projecting that Coates will finish with just three catches for 57 yards on Sunday. But fantasy owners should strongly consider starting the receiver this week based on the favorable matchup he is getting against Miami.
