Editor’s update: Stewart is expected to be active, per Ian Rapoport.
The Carolina Panthers are listing Jonathan Stewart as questionable to play vs. the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. Stewart is still recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the previous three games.
The injury occurred in the Panthers’ Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers, which ironically is the only game Carolina has won this season. A 1-4 start has come in part due to the lack of a running back while Stewart has been out, so his return this Sunday would be a welcome sight for the defending NFC champions.
Stewart did practice fully on Thursday and Friday after a limited session on Wednesday. He should be good to go Sunday vs. a bad Saints defense.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Stewart as the 26th-best running back in Week 6. He now faces a Saints defense allowing the most fantasy points to running backs this season.
If Stewart is active this week, put him in your starting lineup.
