You might not have even known there was a Chinese American Football League. Now you do! It’s arena football, so a lot of the rules are different, but at the end of the day it’s still football.
Here’s some highlights from a Chinese American Football League game played over the weekend. Please note the elaborate (and legal) celebrations.
Meanwhile in the NFL, Odell Beckham Jr. was flagged on Sunday for taking off his helmet. Let’s recap.

Clearly, the NFL is no the CAFL, but they’re both football. One league lets its players have fun. The other one is penalizing players for taking off their helmets. (And for tossing chalk, and for pelvic thrusting, and fining players more for taunting than they are for illegal, dangerous hits.) So when you realize that a football league in China has more fun than the NFL, realize that the NFL’s the one making it happen.
