It’s that time of year again when Kenny Britt makes people remember he still plays in the NFL. We all freak out and remember his unique combo of size and speed surprising the league in 2010 right before he returns to obscurity in a matter of weeks. There’s no mistaking Britt's talent, but consistency has always eluded his game. Of course, not many receivers to play with Vince Young, Kerry Collins, and Rusty Smith can brag about their fantasy dependability.
Odell Beckham Jr. dodged injury en route to a crazy fantasy day against the Ravens. He’s had a slow start, but the Giants' offense seems to be getting a little better and they will need all their receivers if they can’t get the ground game going.
Another receiver going through early season struggles also had himself a day. Brandin Cooks came into the year with borderline WR1 hype, but his production has been far from that this season. This week he gets the Chiefs, who can be beat with the pass, but trusting Drew Brees on the road isn’t for the faint of heart.
The only receivers of note on bye this week are Kelvin Benjamin and the assortment of Dallas wideouts. This made it a bit easier to rank pass catchers, but Week 8 will be a completely different story.
