Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 4: Can Tevin Coleman continue his early season success?

The Falcons’ running back is off to a hot start in 2016 and will be looking to keep it up this Sunday against the Panthers. We explore the fantasy implications.

On Monday during a win over the New Orleans Saints, it seemed as though every member of the Atlanta Falcons offense had an excellent showing. One of the most impressive performances of that night came courtesy of Falcons running back Tevin Coleman, who found the end zone three times against the Saints.

When the clock hit zero in New Orleans, Coleman finished the night with 89 total yards and three rushing touchdowns on 15 touches. Atlanta has made an effort to get their young running back more involved in the offense this season and it definitely seems to be paying off.

Fantasy Impact: This week, Coleman and the Falcons get a matchup with a Carolina Panthers team that has only allowed one opposing running back (Doug Martin) to rush for 100 yards or more in their past 15 regular season games.

The Atlanta running back is averaging 92 total yards and one touchdown on 14 touches through three games this season. Given how he has played so far this year, those numbers seem fairly attainable against Carolina’s defense this Sunday.

Yahoo! only projects Coleman to gain 66 total yards on 13 touches this weekend, but his production so far in 2016 should at least garner some consideration for the flex slot in most fantasy owners’ lineups for Week 4.
