In his second start of the season last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael had himself a day. Michael finished with 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 37-18 win.
It was one of the best games of his young career and by far his best performance of 2016. The one question on the minds of Seahawks fans & his fantasy owners, however, is whether or not Michael will finally prove that he is worth the second round pick Seattle used on him in 2013.
Fantasy Impact: For Week 4, the Seahawks’ running back matches up against the New York Jets and a defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this year. The Jets’ defense has not allowed an opposing running back to rush for 100 yards or more in nine of their last 10 regular season games.
The Yahoo! projections for Michael this week do not envision him having a monster day either, with 83 total yards and no touchdowns on 18 touches. Unless fantasy owners have no other choice, keeping the Seattle running back on their bench this week may be a smart idea.
