Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 4: Terrelle Pryor could blossom into a fantasy star

The Browns’ wide receiver looks to repeat his performance from last week against Washington this Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

The Cleveland Browns are currently without the services and talent of wide receivers Josh Gordon (rehab) and Corey Coleman (broken hand), so Terrelle Pryor has stepped into the role as the team’s top receiving target. Luckily for the Browns, Pryor did more than just fill in last week against the Miami Dolphins.

During Cleveland’s 30-24 loss to the Dolphins, Pryor finished with 165 total yards and one touchdown on 12 touches.

Fantasy Impact: It is very possible that the Browns’ receiver could have a similar performance during the team’s game this weekend against Washington.

Through three weeks this season, Washington is allowing opposing wide receivers to catch 70 percent of their targets and average 15.9 yards per catch. It should be known that these statistics are a result of Washington’s defense facing Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant, and Odell Beckham Jr. in the team’s first three games.

Pryor does not yet have the credibility that these three receivers have established over the years. However, he has the potential that should equal a starting spot most fantasy owners’ lineups this week, even if Washington chooses to match him up with Pro Bowl cornerback Josh Norman.
