Sky’s Courtney Vandersloot hit clutch shot because her coach told her to ‘shoot that motherf***er'

Vandersloot sealed the win with a questionable decision that her coach loved.

The Chicago Sky live to see another game after coming back from a 15-point first-half deficit to beat the Los Angeles Sparks in Game 3 of their semifinal matchup. Without Elena Delle Donne, who is sidelined after having surgery on her thumb, the Sky weren’t expected to win a game, but the result was sealed after a gutsy decision by Courtney Vandersloot.

Up two points with the ability to run down the clock, the guard pulled up for an open jumper. Had she missed, Los Angeles would’ve had plenty of time to come back and tie the game up, but the vet connected. Her coach Pokey Chatman’s thoughts?

Vandersloot finished with a team-high 17 points and five assists. Her Sky team team will play at home again on Tuesday to try to force a deciding Game 5 back in Los Angeles.

The playoffs are really just a wonderful time, aren’t they?
