The Chicago Bears are listing Jay Cutler as doubtful to play in Week 7 vs. the Green Bay Packers. To no surprise, Cutler will miss another game due to his sprained thumb sustained in Week 2.
However, Chicago may simply be holding Cutler out longer than is needed because of how well Brian Hoyer has played in relief. Hoyer has been solid in recent weeks and made this team at least competitive, something Cutler was unable to do in his two games as a starter.
Hoyer has thrown for 1,318 yards and six scores while taking just four sacks in his four starts. As for Cutler, he has thrown for just 373 yards and one touchdown vs. two interceptions and eight sacks taken in two games of work.
Fantasy Impact: You will not be starting Cutler this week, and with no return date in sight, cut him in any league you own him in. He is not even worth a roster spot anymore.
