Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Sit Stefon Diggs even if he is healthy?

The Vikings wide receiver is coming off an injury and has a tough matchup against the Eagles this Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

After gaining 285 receiving yards on 16 catches in the 2016 season’s first two games, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs has a total of only 87 receiving yards on nine catches in his last two games. In addition, Diggs missed the team’s Week 5 game with a groin injury.

Minnesota is coming off its bye week and Diggs should be back on the field this weekend, but his matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles defense is certainly not the most favorable.

Fantasy Impact: Heading into Sunday, the Eagles defense is giving up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The position group has caught just two touchdowns against Philadelphia in 2016 and the defense has only allowed one pass catcher to finish a game this year with at least 100 receiving yards.

Yahoo! is projecting the Diggs to end this Sunday with five catches for 64 yards and zero trips to the end zone. Due to his ability to make a big play anytime he gets the ball in his hands, most fantasy owners should still keep him in their lineups for this week.

But benching him against the Eagles also would not be the worst of ideas either.
