Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Is Jay Ajayi for real?

Miami’s running back is coming off of a career day last week. We explore the fantasy implications.

Of the few people around the country that started Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi in their fantasy lineups last week, they should have been beyond excited. In helping the Dolphins defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-15 in Week 6, Ajayi ran for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.

The Miami running back only ran for a total of 117 yards in the team’s previous four games, so is this a type of performance that Ajayi can sustain?

Fantasy Impact: While he may not be able to run for 200 yards each week, it seems as though the Dolphins would like to include Ajayi more in their offensive game plan.

On Sunday, Miami will be facing off with the AFC East division rival Buffalo Bills. The Bills are pretty average when it comes to stopping the run in 2016, but they have given up six rushing touchdowns in their last five games.

Against Buffalo this week, Yahoo! projects Ajayi to finish with 66 total yards on 15 touches. Based on his performance last week, taking a chance on the running back as a flex option would not be the worst idea in the world for some fantasy owners on Sunday.
