If there is one thing that is clear with the Buffalo Bills, it is who their starting running back is, and that is LeSean McCoy. But a hamstring injury could keep McCoy out of the lineup this Sunday when the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins.
Due to the injury, Buffalo backup running backup Mike Gillislee should see an increase in his time on the field this week no matter if McCoy plays or not. Hamstring injuries are not to be messed with, and the Bills may be best to take a more cautious route of thinking when it comes to their star running back.
Fantasy Impact: With Gillislee averaging just over seven yards per touch in 2016, the Bills’ backfield still has a good shot to produce this week with or without McCoy in the lineup.
The Dolphins’ run defense is not the greatest in the league this season, but they have allowed only one rushing touchdown to opposing running backs in 2016. On the other side, three rushers that Miami has faced this year have finished their game with at least 100 total yards.
Yahoo! is projecting Gillislee to get a majority of the work this weekend as they have him ending up with 73 total yards on 16 touches against the Dolphins. Fantasy owners in larger leagues may want to consider taking a shot with the Buffalo backup on Sunday.
