To say that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is not playing well in 2016 may actually be a bit of an understatement. Flacco has only two touchdown passes in his last four games and his current touchdown percentage (1.9) is easily the lowest it has ever been in his career.
Could a matchup with a weak New York Jets pass defense on Sunday be what the Ravens’ quarterback needs to get his season back on track?
Fantasy Impact: For the second-straight week, Flacco and his Baltimore teammates will be taking the field at MetLife Stadium. After losing to the New York Giants last week, the Ravens will be hoping for a better result against the Jets on Sunday.
For Flacco, he gets to face a New York defense that is allowing the sixth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year. The position group is averaging over 300 passing yards and at least two touchdowns per game against the Jets in 2016.
Yahoo! projects Flacco to throw for 280 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on Sunday. But do not be surprised if his touchdown total ends up being higher than what has been predicted.
Based on his favorable matchup, fantasy owners in need of some quarterback help may want to consider placing Flacco in their lineups this week.
