Fantasy owners continue to be disappointed by how little Allen Robinson is giving them. Though he was taken as high as Rounds 2-3 in fantasy drafts this year, Robinson has put up numbers that make owners wonder if he is worth cutting after just six games.
Robinson has caught just 26 passes for 296 yards and three scores this season. He managed just two catches for 9 yards on eight targets last week against an Oakland Raiders secondary that’s been burned frequently by wide receivers this season.
This is not all on Robinson though. A big reason for his lack of production has been the struggles of Blake Bortles, who has taken a major step back in his third NFL season. He is hurting the entire Jaguars offense to the point that no one is a safe fantasy play going forward, including Robinson.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Robinson as the 16th-best wide receiver in Week 8. However, he faces a Titans defense allowing the 10th-fewest points to receivers this season. The good news is that in two games vs. Tennessee in 2015, Robinson racked up 15 grabs for 266 yards and three scores.
You should treat Robinson like a WR3 this week and plan on starting him.
