There’s a reason they call the end of games Lillard time. First, Damian Lillard’s game-winner in overtime against the Nuggets.
Lillard had Kenneth Faried on a switch, so he waived Mason Plumlee off and took the Nuggets’ forward to school as only he can. The end result: a floater, a swish, and a gesture to his wrist to remind us what time it is.
But to get to overtime, we have to credit Blazers coach Terry Stotts for this.
Just a really great inbounds play from the Blazers and the Nuggets didn't know to switch or not. pic.twitter.com/w6X7M0XpYr

What an out-of-bounds play. Also: what bad defense. How does this happen, Nuggets?

Denver will be kicking itself for this loss. The Nuggets led by eight points with 50 seconds left and even had the ball, but committed two turnovers and missed a bunch of free throws to give the Blazers one last chance. And if there’s anything that’s clear in the NBA, you don’t give Damian Lillard multiple chances to beat you.
