The Baltimore Ravens have informed running back Justin Forsett that he will be released, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. The roster move comes two days after Terrance West replaced Forsett in the starting lineup.
Forsett was a healthy scratch, and Javorius Allen served as West’s backup. Rookie Kenneth Dixon was inactive, as well, after two limited and one full practice session.
Fantasy impact: West is the biggest beneficiary in the short-term, but the long-term effect is what this means for Dixon. He is back at practice, and reports have suggested he could be active in Week 5.
Dixon will not supplant West immediately, but he is eventually going to be the Ravens’ starting running back. It might be later this year or it might be the start of next season.
If you are in a one-and-done league, Dixon has some decent speculative value. If you are in a keeper or dynasty league, he is likely already on a roster. If not, grab him with great haste.
